Demons cash in for first win, Rangers still waiting
Over the past several months, both the Lakewood Rangers and Westlake Demons had invested hour upon hour of hard work, practice and dedication on the football field with little to show for it.
But in a battle between the two winless teams Friday night, the Demons finally cashed in on their investment. The Rangers, on the other hand, are still waiting for the dividends to show.

One Northeast Ohio football team is going to win its first game of the 2015 season.
Lakewood, in the midst of a 13-game losing streak over the past two seasons, hits the road for the second straight week to take on the Demons. It\'s Week 6 of the Southwestern Conference season, and both teams are still in search of their first win of the season.

The Magnificat soccer team continued to build on its strong 2015 season Saturday in battling Medina to a 1-1 draw at Rocky River Stadium.
Both teams were ranked in the Top 10 in this week\'s OSSCAState poll. Medina was unbeaten at 6-0-2 and ranked second in Division I behind No. 1 Walsh Jesuit. Magnificat was tied with Mason for the fifth spot in the poll.

Demons rising toward top of SWC, poll standings
Despite a loss to Solon Saturday night, the Westlake boys soccer teams having a season to remember.
The Demons, 5-1-2 on the season, are on pace in the Southwestern Conference race. They currently have a record of 4-0-1, the tie coming in a 1-1 draw with Olmsted Falls.
This past Wednesday, the Demons defeated Midivew 7-0 as Jason Rebholz and Nick Sorg each scored a pair of goals. Also scoring for Westlake were Donovan Dubois, Logan Whinery and Ted Greco.
