The St. Joseph Academy Jaguars finished a strong second, while the Rocky River girls and boys squads both took third place honors at the Ranger Relays Friday night at First Federal Lakewood Stadium.
SJA scored 106 team points, but got edged out by North Royalton's 112 for the championship. The Rocky River girls scored 77 points, while Bay (57) and Westlake (55) were fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Rocky River boys scored 69 team points to finish behind runner-up North Royalton's 86. Berea-Midpark dominated the meet and won the boys team title going away with 142 points.
SJA took the shot put and discus relays. In the shot put, the Jaguars went one-two-three in their flight behind senior Brittany Morrison (38-02), sophomore Morgan Schauer (31-01) and senior Molly McAfee (29-06.5). In the discus, Morrison had the top throw with her 114-06, while Schauer was runner up with a 106-00.
Junior Kye Williams won the 100 hurdles with her time of 16.24, a new meet record, while senior Jenea Adams won the 100 meters with her 12.62. In the 3200 run, freshman Maggie Wagner won it with a time of 11:49.48.
The SJA 4x200 relay won it with a time of 1:47.91.
