Video: St. Marie takes runner-up honors at Mastick

It was a homecoming of sorts for Westlakeís Jack St. Marie.
The former Westlake distance ace competed in the annual Classic at Mastick 5K Wednesday and nearly came away with a win. St. Marie took second overall in the Menís 5K with a time of 16:06.6, just seconds behind the winner, Andrew Cranes and his time of 15:56.9.
Many of the areaís high school cross country runners competed in the race. Jonathan Albaugh won the Male 15-16 bracket with a time of 17:12.3, while Rocky Riverís Ryan Gallagher took the Male 17-18 bracket with a time of 16:58.7. Gallagher also took fourth overall, while Albaugh was right behind in fifth.
The Classic at Mastick is run every August, with proceeds going to the Classic at Mastick Scholarship Fund. For complete race results and further information on this event, go to www.classicatmastick.com.
